In Svevo's poetics the notion of idea "tout court"doesn't exist or better it's destroyed;to learn to really write you needn't conceive a subject drawing it off from news or imagination or better you needn't use it as the core of the tale; on the contrary you must plan an interior research of someting sincere, something not thought-out which must be fished out from the bottom of our being before our consciousness may sift it, that is to say something which is hidden a little from ourselves too.
