This article is about Italian antifascist emigration in Paris during the Second World War, working class antifascists took part in the struggle against Nazifascism and in the battle for the liberation of the city. The biographical approach allow us to explore their antifascist experience developed in the "red" districts of Paris and their engagement against the Nazis since 1940. Their integration into French society developed during the 1930s through social movements and the antifascist organizations. When Germans occupied Paris, the Italian emigrants were among the firsts who take part to the resistance against Nazifascism. Some of them joined armed groups led by French Communist party; others were organized into autonomous formations, supported the actions of armed groups and participated to the liberation of Paris in August 1944.
