This article analyzes popular and women’s participation in Renato Del Din’s funeral, a young partisan who died during an attack against a Fascist garrison in Tolmezzo. This event is recognized as one of the most significant forms of opposition carried out by women against Nazism in the Carnia region during World War II. The analysis of this case study reveals unconventional forms of resistance.
