The aim of this article is to present the main characteristics of the community hubs, starting from the points of view of who is concerned with these initiatives. The authors have interviewed promoters, urban authorities, enablers, experts. Thanks to their contributions, the article extracts some policy lessons concerning what community hubs are, whether they can represent a solution to different kind of urban problems, and which roles they can play in cities and in remote areas. In addition, the article presents profiles of promoters and finally argues to what extent the community hubs can represent a factor of innovation for public policies.
