The article analyses the organisation of Italian political parties in light of the constitu-tional framework. In so doing, it will focus on the impact of law n.13/2014 thus en-lightening the link between parties’ internal organization and parties’ financing along with the deficiencies affecting intra-parties democracy. Finally, the controversial question of the "Digital Party" will be addressed so as to envisage possible evolutions of parties’ organisational models vis-à-vis the exigencies of participation which underpin art. 49 of the Italian Constitution.
