The Ecuadorian Constitution has granted constitutional rights to Pacha Mama, Nature. These constitutional rights have their spiritual basis in native cosmovision and « buen vivir ». Nature is no longer an object ; it’s a legal subject which (who) deserves legal protection. In two significant sentences (n°166-15-SEP, n°218-15-SEP), Ecuadorian Constitutional Court has protected Pacha Mama from predatory human activities. It seems to be an obvious will to decrease the liberal-individualistic conception of Right and Rights.
