In the last decades, the stylistic study of Medieval and Post-medieval ceramic findings in the South-Eastern Sicily began to take advantage of the technicalscientific contribution of archaeometric investigations. The analytical campaigns were principally carried out on pottery coming from Caltagirone. In the present work, with the aim of deepening the knowledge about the employed production technology, twelve samples of enamelled pottery dated between the 15th and the 16th centuries coming from Caltagirone, Buscemi, Scicli and Modica were subjected to microscopic observations and chemical-mineralogical analyses, especially focusing on the blue-colored enamels.
