This article will describe Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and its treatment in the Mental Health Centers of the 7 Modena territorial districts. Borderline Disorder represents an important challenge for Mental Health Centers, both for the criticality of the treatment and for the well-being of the treating teams, being a disorder with a strong dramatic component that requires the treating teams to manage countertransference aspects and the need for intervention. That implements the integration of fragmented and dysregulated elements in the patient. In the literature it emerges that to meet these needs, the intervention must include co-therapy; an expression of co-therapy is represented by the double setting, individual and group. A model that meets these requirements is the Dialectical-Behavioral model devised by Marsha Linehan (DBT). The Modenese reality gets involved in taking care of serious personality disorders according to the DBT Model, adapting this intervention to the territorial reality and the needs of Mental Health Centers, also associating group psychoeducational treatment with families. In the pandemic age Mental health Centers agreed to challenge on line DBT treatments.
