Génie la matta is a lucid and sharp, poetic and evocative novel. It is the story of Marie, a girl born from the rape suffered by her mother, and that she will suffer herself. A bitter story of evil transgenerational transmission. Rejected, along with her mother, by all, or almost all, the community in which she lives, Marie describes the wall of silence that is raised between the individual and others, where the absence of speech and deafness meet.
