The article, after having analysed the organisational structure and the functions gradually assumed by Cassa depositi e prestiti, focuses on the most recent legislative innovations, outlining the role and functions of Cdp in relation to the events of the last decade, therefore analysing the growing role of institutional management center of different State’s shareholdings, as a promoter of innovation within the European circuit of National promotional banks and, eventually, defining the role of Cdp concerning the objectives set by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
