The present work aims to present the phenomenon of Dissociation in Ericksonian hypnosis, in dialogue with the psychopathological aspect. Reference will be made to several authors, and principals for the drafting of the same, such as Janet, Liotti, and some authors of the Treatise on Hypnosis who will help to guide the reflection on pathological dissociation and, on the other hand, as elicitation of hypnotic trance. The starting point will be focused on the definition from DSM 5- TR, to then hypothesize the use of evaluation tools of the same, when it has a psychopathological value, evaluating probable comorbidities.
Keywords: dissociation, psychopathology, evaluation, hypnosis, attachment, automatism.
