Urban regeneration in Puglia was regulated in 2008 through a specific law. The urban space conceived as an active resource has set in motion dynamics subjected to a double push: openness towards innovation and resistance to change. The study in question fits into this context, with the aim of focusing on the importance of public action in orienting development and the need to identify further institutional actions through which to escape from a condition of “blocked innovation”.
Keywords: urban regeneration; local development; discursive practices; social capital; public policies.
