The paper analyzes the legal aspects of cybersecurity in the space sector, examining the evolution of the regulatory framework at both the national and European levels. After reviewing the key stages in the development of the discipline – from the NIS Directive to the National Cyber Security Perimeter, up to the NIS2 Directive – the study focuses on the methods of coordination between the two levels of regulation, highlighting the critical issues related to their overlap. Finally, the analysis concludes with an examination of the proposed EU Space Act regulation, which aims to introduce specific legislation for the space sector.
