The paper examines decrees concerning the imposition and revocation of court-ordered compliance monitoring by the Court of Milan with respect to lead firms in supply chains operating in the logistics, fashion, and food delivery sectors, as well as measures adopted by the Italian Competition Authority (Agcm) against Armani and Dior. From a labour law perspective, particular attention is paid to the problem of working poor and to the challenge of reconstructing fragmented responsibilities within supply chains. Finally, the paper explores the potential and limits of court-ordered compliance monitoring, also taking into account insights developed by organizational studies.
