The abandonment of public spaces is a relevant problem inside urban tissues across Europe, with negative impacts on the socioeconomic tissue of cities. Among social innovations forms, that of temporary use may constitute a solution, providing positive socioeconomic externalities for the territory in the process. To verify this hypothesis, the article provides an analysis of some temporary use projects that took place in the context of the Apulia Region’s “Luoghi Comuni” program.
