This article explores the spatial knowledges and practices young women use to negotiate fear in the nocturnal spaces of Naples’ historic center. Drawing on feminist geography, it examines how fear reshapes participants’ spatial choices and movements, alongside the coping strategies they adopt in response. Employing mental maps and walking interviews, the study foregrounds the embodied and subjective dimensions of urban night-time, while highlighting the shared nature of the places and strategies among participants.
