This study explores the role of breathing as a relational tool in Gestalt therapy through a single case study. The case of Marco, a patient presenting with anxiety and depressive symptoms, is examined over eight sessions. The therapeutic intervention integrated breathing awareness with the relational process, leading to clinically relevant outcomes. Both quantitative and qualitative data showed significant symptom reduction and improved emotional regulation. Breathing emerged as a vehicle for awareness, contact, and transformation. The study offers reflections on integrating Gestalt therapy with contemplative practices.
