This work claims that the Official Technical Consultancy can be, in many cases, an experience that promotes, in parents, the acknowledgement of their own internal world; therefore, it claims that it can improve their parental abilities and communication within the couple. The greatest difficulties come when one or both parents present pathological forms of narcissistic traits. In such cases the Familiar Mediation becomes ineffective, and the most valid intervention appears to be aimed at sustaining each parent in discovering and understanding both his own internal world and the way that leads to an healthy narcissism. According to this perspective, the provisions of the Judge - with whom the consultant collaborates - are aimed at this purpose, as well.
