This paper describes an experience of analytical psychodrama in an institution, namely with adult patients in a day-care unit for pathological addictions operating with the National Health Service. It refers specifically to integrating treatment into the multidisciplinary therapeutic programs, to the subjects’ modes of participating in the psychodrama performance, and to the outcomes of psychodramatic play, such as emerging individual moves and enabling therapeutic change in case of a standstill. A clinical vignette is described in order to show how psychicological material, which was formerly unavailable, is made more accessible.
