Francesco is a nine years old boy who lost his older sister for a disease two years earlier. Unexpectedly the boy tells the teacher at his new school what happened two years before. Francesco shows Posttraumatic Stress Disorder symptoms, characterized by persistent guilt and loneliness feelings and aggressive behaviors and irritability towards his mother and his younger sister. The process with Francesco starts from building a solid therapeutic relationship, introducing, later on, EMDR aimed to elaborate traumatic memories. Specific attention has been focused on the relationship between the boy and his parents, who were also involved in the traumatic loss processing, finalized to create the conditions to allow them to share the pain caused by the loss.
