After an introduction by Paolo Migone, a handwritten text by Pier Francesco Galli of 2017 is published, where he answered two questions of Dagmar Herzog, professor of History at the City University of New York, about the Zurich psychoanalyst and anthropologist Fritz Morgenthaler (1919-1984). Herzog was doing a research on Morgenthaler; Galli had been in analysis with him in Zurich in the 1960s, and both were part of the Zurich Psychoanalytic Seminar (PSZ), which had been important in Galli’s training. Morgenthaler also collaborated with the journal Psicoterapia e Scienze Umane, founded by Galli in 1967. These were the questions: “What ideas of Morgenthaler shaped your clinical practice when you first met him?”; “What do you retain or remember most about Morgenthaler?”. Galli talks about Morgenthaler’s position and also tells four anecdotes of his analysis with him.
