The inclusive signification of work experience in the era of the fourth industrial revolution

New technologies applied to work (digital, A.I., smart machines, robots) are rapidly revolutionising the way work is produced and organised. This transformation seems to open up new spaces for human initiative, especially within a collaborative dimension (with the machines themselves and intersubjectively). Work pedagogy is called upon to face the challenge of the change taking place, promoting the conditions of educability of human potential and the centrality of the value of the person. This article, in particular, focuses on the opportunity to support the competence to act together, ethically based on mutual recognition, in order to achieve an inclusive and responsible signification of the work experience, capable of satisfying instances of meaning and fulfilment without precluding benefits for companies.

Insieme è meglio. Riflessioni pedagogiche sul caso "Scarabò. Una città per educare"

Questo articolo presenta solo alcuni risultati emersi da una complessa attività di ricerca sul campo effettuata tra il 2018 e il 2019. La ricerca è stata motivata dalla partecipazione al progetto internazionale denominato Trans-Urban EU-China, dedicato alla «transizione verso la sostenibilità urbana attraverso città socialmente integrative nell’Ue e in Cina». Nello specifico, lo studio empirico si è concentrato su "Scarabò. Una città per educare", festival dell’educazione che si svolge ogni anno nel centro storico di Macerata, mettendo a disposizione dei bambini e di tutta la cittadinanza più di 40 laboratori educativi e varie attività ludiche. In questa occasione, vengono riportati i risultati delle interviste somministrate a 111 bambini partecipanti all’iniziativa e ci si sofferma pedagogicamente sui temi della città educante, colta secondo la prospettiva dell’educazione permanente, e degli spazi urbani come spazi di relazione significativa. "Insieme è meglio" è l’espressione che riassume le risposte dei bambini, le quali invitano a ripensare educativamente i luoghi della città.

The pre-eminent motivation behind this contribution lies in the intention to offer students of three-year degree course in education and training sciences and master’s degree in pedagogical sciences of the University of Macerata a further support than those already existing, aimed at expanding the educational meaningfulness of the internship experience. The main criticality of such experience is connected with the difficulty in translating knowledge, models, ideas into appropriate activities. This notably refers to the conceptual and educational core of the sense of initiative and entrepreneurship and, consistently, to the skill to act. Therefore, after a deepening of the sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, followed by related pedagogical reflections based on the capability approach, the paper presents an operative proposal aimed at increasing young people’s possibilities of action and supporting their personal and professional growth. With regard to this training proposal, the theoretical and methodological framework refers to the third generation cultural historical activity theory and to the tool of the boundary crossing laboratory, variant of the change laboratory

High-tech marketing concepts can be useful to understand important aspects of R&D and technology management. This is due to the fact that the acquisition, improvement and exploitation of intangible assets have become critical for firms’ competitiveness. Firms can leverage their R&D investment both internally and externally, as direct producers or buyers and sellers on markets for technologies. Intangible assets are the object of complex transactions and key complementary assets to combine with new innovations. Strategic decisions in technology marketing take into account factors such as the phase of evolution of a technology and the firm’s position with respect to incumbents. This paper offers a theoretical framework to differentiate four possible scenarios, according to the type of innovations, the control over complementary assets and the presence of a dominant paradigm for the exploitation of a technology. The cases of four large industrial R&D labs are used to illustrate these possible scenarios. An effective marketing strategy, clear leadership, and attention to intellectual property issues seem to emerge as determinant factors of success.

Il ruolo dei competitor nell’orientamento delle politiche di comunicazione economico finanziaria

Il lavoro si propone di analizzare il ruolo svolto dai competitor sulle politiche comunicative delle imprese. In particolare, si concentra sulle principali forze competitive che influenzano la disclosure e sui processi imitativi (herding). Vengono considerati due particolari tipi di competitor: il leader in disclosure ed il leader in dimensione per verificare la presenza di processi di imitazione informativa e reputazionale. I principali risultati confermano le ipotesi di comportamenti imitativi intrasettoriali e evidenziano un trend di omogeneizzazione delle politiche di comunicazione.

Benessere nei luoghi di lavoro: valutazione della percezione attraverso la somministrazione del questionario WHO-5 Well-being Index

The purpose of this cross-sectional study is to verify the company wellness analyzing the data coming from the administration of the WHO-5 Well-being Index questionnaire, evaluating the differences between workers committed in different tasks and gender differences. We enrolled all 333 employees of a company providing outpatient and first aid health services, divided into three tasks: administrative, drivers/rescuer, caregivers. The female population in all three working populations identified and divided by task have a lower level of well-being calculated. Workers belonging to the administrative group have achieved an average score at the lowest level than workers employed in other tasks. Among health care workers, are having the lowest percentage with a score below 13. Drivers/Rescuers are placed in an intermediate position between two other tasks under the perceived health profile.

Efficiency and Distributional Effects of Revenue-Neutral Green Tax Reforms

This paper deals with the use of green tax reforms in order to reduce tax distortions and environmental pollution. We define the concept of revenue raising potential of taxes, given by the ratio between the marginal revenue and the tax base, and show how it can be used for the analysis of the welfare effects of the reform. We then consider the distributional aspects of the reform and analyze them through the analysis of welfare dominance and concentration curves, without imposing weights to be used in the social utility function.
