Mappe concettuali per la valutazione

RIV Rassegna Italiana di Valutazione

Fascicolo: 41 / 2008

Mappe concettuali per la valutazione - Concept Maps are a powerful tool to describe and better understand concepts, their hierarchies and relationships. Invented by Joseph Novak in an educational and scholastic environment, Concept Maps later penetrated the evaluation thanks to Trochim, but with a different methodological approach and in a very limited number of situations. Instead, Concept Maps appear very useful for different evaluative purposes and contexts, for example to improve evaluational design and the stakeholder consciousness around the evaluand and to share knowledge about it. The article shows different Concept Maps, with exemples which extend the use of the original ideas of Novak and Trochim, and concludes with a general discussion over their utilization.

Key words: Concept Maps; Tacit Knowledge; Program Theory.

Food Poverty and Solidarity Networks in Italy

RIVISTA DI STUDI SULLA SOSTENIBILITA'

Fascicolo: 2 / 2015

Among effects generated by the intense and prolonged financial, economic and labor crisis which has affected the economically advanced countries, we could also include on the one hand food poverty and on the other food losses and wastage that exist alongside the food system. The occurrence of Food Losses and Wastage assume different proportions in different regions of the world. According to FAO data, approximately 56% of Food Losses and Wastage occur in developed countries; the remaining 44% in developing countries. At the level of the final consumer in Europe we have a waste per capita of approximately 95-115 kg/year. What does it mean in terms of economic impact? From these data and questions, the present work describes the phenomenon of food poverty and solidarity networks, highlighting the role of AGEA and charitable institutions within the system of EU aid.

The valorization of an agro-food product is an articulated process that interacts with different variables and goes beyond the strictly economic dimension of the business system. Quality products, in particular, are closely related to the environment and to landscape, biodiversity culture and traditions. The valorization of the product in this case is conditioned by several factors that cannot be explained exclusively by normal value of use as measured by the market price. The topic, therefore, is discussed from the viewpoint of economic analysis, identifying various lines which developed, with a more thorough use of standard models, in order to contextualize the issue within parameters which make reference to reputation and convention theories and the quality of social construction. The work focuses, too, on the debate regarding the proper conceptual approach and on the methodology for differentiating collective brands from distinctive ones. Then we move on to a brief review of the legislation on certified products. Finally, valorization strategies for quality-branded agro-food products inspired by analysis of the economic sector, with specific regard to Italian agro-food products.

Problematiche concettuali ed aspetti economico-normativi della qualità nel settore agroalimentare

ECONOMIA AGRO-ALIMENTARE

Fascicolo: 2 / 2012

Starting from an examination, with multidisciplinary approaches, of issues regarding the concept of food quality from semantic, economic and juridicalnormative perspectives, the aim of this paper is to develop a framework which takes into account, through analysis of the literature and empirical research, social, legal and economic questions concerning consumption behaviours, strategies, business models and the existing legislation. It is interesting to remark how the quality policy for agricultural products, as an integral part of the Common Agricultural Policy (cap), is central to how the affirmation of a quality agriculture is perceived. European Commission forecasts for the cap for 2013 identify, among other future challenges, the quality policy for agricultural products as a core requirement in order to diversify and enhance the competitiveness of farming activities in rural areas.
