German psychiatry had been largely converted to eugenism prior to 1933. Euthanasia belonged to a different discourse and many German eugenists were opposed to it. Some nevertheless agreed finally with the use of euthanasia with handicapped babies, and almost all the professors of psychiatry, experts in T4, supported eugenism. This indicates the conceptual links, existing in the name of collective interests, between eugenism and euthanasia.
