The aim of this paper is to underline the importance of the psychosocial processes that accompanies the development and the implementation of the innovative projects. The attention is turned to consider how a specific climate to implementation and a climate able to supporting the innovation and the flexibility, with to the perception of the self competence, can positively influence the participation to specific project and can favour innovative behaviour extra-role. The research context is a multinational pharmaceutical firm, engaged since the 2004 in an innovative plan of managerial training. 93 manager have participated to search, all involved in the first phase of implementation of the plan. The results found the positive influences exercised from the different climatic variables, considered antecedents of the participation to the specific innovative plan and of the manager’s innovative behaviour inside their normal working activity, on which also is found a meaningful influence of the self competence
