The consequences of domestic violence on women’s physical wellbeing Domestic violence is considered one of the world’s major public health issues. The goal of this paper is to identify the consequences of domestic violence perpetrated by men on women’s physical wellbeing. For this purpose, a careful review of the international literature was carried out, which has led to the identification of multiple consequences on the physical and reproductive wellbeing of women and of some mechanisms which link the abuses to these consequences. The abuses perpetrated within domestic walls have multiple and devastating long- and short-term effects on the health of women who suffer them.
