Social Secretariat evaluation in Rome town Municipalities. Usefullness and practice of a "field" observation
This article is dedicate to illustrate some results of an empirical research on the social secretariats in the 4 town hall in Rome after the law 328/2000, that has reformed the system of the social services in Italy. The perspective of search selected for the analysis of the micro-organizations of local welfare is that referred to social etnografy, fruit of an original synthesis of some concepts and some practices typical of the "to make etnografy" and of the "to make etnometodolgy" on the field. The present treatment shows, through examples and "images" from the field, the utility of the "integrated" approach and of the "participated" observation in organizational contexts as those of social service.
