The increase of long distance commuting from South of Italy involves mainly males - adults householders - who move from their cities to work in the North. This kind of job is characterized by aspects of irregularities exacerbated by the increasing casualization of labour. The stories collected show in detail the life and working condition that this people have to cope with.
