This paper presents a particular aspect of research work undertaken during the PhD thesis in Sociology at the Faculty of Political Sciences of Bologna. The research was supported by collaboration with the Council of Argelato: the willingness to cooperate with the common goal was established to study the phenomenon of urban sprawl for years that involves the city of Bologna and its hinterland municipalities and in particular has seen in the Argelato area and one of its major fractions, to Funo, one of the key players of this phenomenon.
