The contribution, starting from the observation that the action-research constitutes today an orientation to the research and not a fixed method, introduces in synthesis the characterizing elements of such approach. On this point it specifies which are the forms of knowledge to which the action-research refers, particularly making reference to the narrow interlacement between knowledge and action and it sets some brief reflexion on the methodological aspects that allow to distinguish it from the applied research. Believing that the processes and the contents are contextually important in all the phases of an action-research, the contribution comes to an end hypothesizing, and introducing in synthesis, a psychological training to the action-research.
