Does being in the communicative flow 24 hours a day affect cognitive processes, communication and language? A fascinating new generation of young people defined by very contradictory features that combine anxiety and uncertainty with a renewed desire of being protagonists and politically active. Polyhedric, agile and prudent, they move in an environment that has deprived them of hope, showing a great ability to adapt. Youth-youth worlds thus emerge: the new ways are found in other places and in other forms of production rather than on the streets. On the other hand, each generation has its own meeting places and contempo- rary hyperplaces are no exception. New media, social networks and Internet are some of the spaces in which contemporary youth is active. For the first time, Internet beats TV among adolescents: the cyberspace is reconsidering itself and is becoming more and more a hyperplace that, when it turns into a place, poses clear political questions.
