The following article aims at summarizing the strategic and operating plan in act to develop the inter-state Science and Technology Park (STP) of San Marino - Italy, in order to promote new territorial synergies in favour of a reality based on international dealings and cooperation. The author - who discusses the development of Science and Technology Parks, the history, the objectives, the savings, the services offered to the tenants and to the local entrepreneurs - wishes to address how STPs represent a useful means of supporting regional growth through technological innovation and management. The reader must consider the following key message: that is the importance of setting new boundaries, both physically and mentally, to ensure a new form of growth founded on the integration of knowledge and resources.
