This study aims to illustrate a new approach to stress evaluation based on objective analysis of the work conditions recognized as dangerous for the workers’ psychophysical health. It comprises two main phases: analysis of some company statistical indicators (Phase A) and analysis of work-related stress conditions (Phase B) centered on the work factors peculiar to the different organizational units. So far, the method has been tested on many companies of various sizes and industry sectors. Results indicate the instrument adequacy in relation to the exhaustiveness of the examined areas and its capacity to discriminate the stress risk factors peculiar to the various productive activities.
