Recent interpretations of the good’s value creation model and manufacturing-services’ innovation integration governance structures, have not considered the specific case of cognitive-relational innovation. The article wants to fill this gap through a case study and theoretical argumentation. The resultant interpretation is composed by the dynamic hypothesis of circularity of innovation process and the inclusion of the capabilities- competences turnover. The case study is about a de-manufacturing pilot-factory supporting the idea of a circular factory. Finally, some interesting policy implications will be addressed.

Keywords: Innovation, services, network organization, capabilities/competences, case study.
