In the following article I would like to analyze philosophically in which terms psychology analytic of Carl Gustav Jung as an heir of the western spiritual tradition, even as a "post-religious Christianity". In doing so, I would first like to highlight i relations between the Jewish-Christian tradition and analytical psychology, evaluating the specific weight that Jung attributes to religious memory and its therapeutic ability to provide a channel of expression to the forces acting in man. I will highlight how the Swiss psychiatrist believes a re-formulation of the traditional mythical scenario is opportune so as to offer a basis imaginal of external psychic processes of the modern western world. I'll try this way of showing how for Jung «the loss of roots and the abandonment of tradition neurotize the masses and predispose them to collective hysteria "(Jung 1982).
