The need of the otherness is a recurring element in our uncertain and precarious existence. How to weave meaningful relationships, also from an educational point of view, in times and spaces that increasingly make sense only in the present, subtracting hope from the future? This question is the background of the essay which intends to reflect on the importance of orienting oneself in plural and global contexts, without losing the specificity of each experience. The aim is to outline some pedagogical frameworks to overcome the walls of segregation, erected to protect ephemeral identities, and to promote the conscious growth of dialogical subjects and generative communities. The depth with which we live the present can be the substrate for potential changes and the way to broaden the individual and the community projects. Searching for the interdependencies that connote human existence means taking care of ties, nurturing processes of self-knowledge and co-responsible participation. For these reasons, the educator will have a broad perspective, taking care of the distances, differences and inequalities, in order to develop sustainable community paths.
Keywords: Relationship; interdependencies; projectuality; time; distances; differences.
