Starting from the first university course held at the University of Florence in 1987, dedicated to the Weimar Republic, this article highlights Enzo Collotti’s ability to introduce students to international historiographical debates and bring them closer to new research topics, also those furthest from his immediate research interests. In particular, it examines Collotti’s interest in the historiography of the Weimar Republic and the introduction of women’s history among the topics of the seminar carried out within his course.
