In this work, the "Osservatori Inps" are explored to compare wages in Veneto with the corresponding national ones. Analysing the wages actually paid by employers, the wage aspect in the proper sense is clearly distinct from that connected to discontinuous employment during the year or partial employment in terms of working hours (part time): in these cases, the low participation generates insufficient annual income. Considering the wage figure, without the cases of low participation, thus referring only to full-time and full- year employees, in Veneto it is lower than the corresponding national figure for private employees in 2019 (the last "normal" year). This, however, breaks down with considerable heterogeneity considering the qualifications (it concerns clerical and managerial figures, not blue-collar figures) and the sectors.
