The aim of this essay is to analyse the role of national Parliament in EU law making and in the implementation of EU legislation. As for the first issue, attention is devoted to the subsidiarity control (EWS and other instruments) and to the democratic accountability of the Government to the Parliament. With reference to the implementation, special regard is reserved to internal law expressly dedicated to this task ("legge europea"; "legge di delegazione europea"), and also to the budget law. The concluding remarks focus on the organization of Italian Parliament, its two-chambers configuration and a few possible improvements of the relationship between EU institutions and our Parliament.

Keywords: Parliament; European Union; implementation; subsidiarity; public budget.
