The essay analyses the contents of the extension of the Temporary Crisis Frame- work for aid support the economy following Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, which follows on from the initiatives undertaken by the Commission such as the REPowerEUproject, the regulation relating to coordinated measures to reduce gas demand, as well as that relating to emergency intervention to deal with high energy prices. In this context, the change of course of state aid policies is consolidated, aimed at greater flexibility but always in the light of the economic law of European Union. The States-Commission relationship changes and consolidates, as well as the objectives that tend to a faster ecological transition by reconciling energy policies with environmental ones, also raising awareness among companies through incentives aimed at green. This leads to the creation of a common energy policy and a first step towards an industrial policy at European level in response to the ongoing geopolitical change.

Keywords: Temporary framework, energy solidarity, REPowerEU, industrial policy, state aid.
