The “Media Dance” project grew out of a scientific collaboration between the Department of Human Sciences for Education “Riccardo Massa” (University of Milan-Bicocca) and the Foundation Piemonte dal Vivo. It aims to experiment with and promote innovative reflections and practices through schools’ encounter with performative languages. Within the framework of the PNRR: M4c1.2 “Improvement of recruitment and teacher training processes” and the new Three-year Arts Plan (DPCM 12/05/21), this essay presents and analyses, specifically, a training proposal that has been addressed to teachers of four secondary schools in Turin. The project is situated within a pedagogical tradition that recognises and gives value to the relationships between human beings and the world, body and mind, and scientific and artistic dimensions in the school context (Antonacci & Guerra, 2018; Scardicchio, 2018; Gamelli & Mirabelli, 2019). Specifically, it aims to explore the potential that the artistic dimension can bring to the training of teachers.
