The analysis of the latest regulations on tourism in the Balearic Islands leads us to discuss not only about sustainability and circularity, but also about their purpose and the legal im-pact that they may have on the different areas of our legal system. Urban planning and oth-er environmental issues, as well as administrative obligations and some points about private law seem to be the perfect combination of this new framework of the tourism sector, which aims to be groundbreaking. The importance of the subjective scope of the measures that will be taken, of the obligations that will be fulfilled, as well as the large number of different ad-ministrations involved, cannot go unnoticed. This study will reflect on all these interesting questions, providing a broad overview on the tourism regulation in the Balearic Islands.
