In the transitional phases of an individual's life, particularly with the entry into the workforce, the perception of competence becomes a crucial element, as does the process of constructing professional identity. The opportunity provided by internships for future educators serves as a tool that promotes competencies and allows for an understanding of the specificity of work environments. This paper presents a pilot study that involved the development and validation of a self-efficacy scale in relation to the competencies expected from graduates of the L-19 degree programs. Descriptive analyses, dimensionality assessments, validity, and reliability tests demonstrated good properties of the instrument. The scale presented here also aims to foster reflective and self-assessment processes among students in relation to the learning outcomes of their academic programs.
