This journal project evolved from a group of teachers and professionals who have a deep interest in teaching and learning practices from a multidisciplinary perspective. The setting is primarily higher education as well as of university-business dialogue, with a focus also on teaching support services and educational and training processes. The journal proposes articles and essays concerning teaching and learning in formal, informal and non-formal contexts, with particular interest for innovative methodologies and strategies for the development of educational professions.Focus areas for contributions include: teaching strategies, learning theory, curriculum design and development, assessment and evaluation, pedagogical processes, leadership and management in educational and training contexts, lifelong learning methodologies and tools. A privileged space will be dedicated to cooperative strategies and practices between labour market and educational institutions. National and international contributions are encouraged in two formats:

- refereed empirical research and theoretical/conceptual manuscripts

- non refereed field experiences.

The journal Excellence and Innovation in Learning and Teaching. Research and Practices aims to build a dialogue on national and international excellences in teaching and learning, offering a strategic resource for professionals. It is addressed to school and university teachers and scholars, but also to trainers and consultants in human resources management and development.
