Ernst Bloch in his well-known Das Prinzip Hoffnung interpreted the topic of the hope, the authentic crossroads of the modernity, in the light of the continuity between the ‘heretical’ Christianity and the historical materialism; almost a sort of the legitimacy of the former in comparison with the latter: Religion im Erbe. Also considering the teories of Metz and Moltmann of a "new political theology", can we think of an untypical "political theology" of hope in Bloch, that turns to the future in evident conflict with the ‘political theology’ of Carl Schmitt and with all the other political formulas of the Konservative Revolution, that ‘religiously’ turn to the past?
