The Author, after an introduction on the neurobiological and evolutive basis of sexuality and autoerotism, addresses today’s phenomena of virtual sex and Internet Porn. Both of these phenomena have become part of our sexuality at all ages, and they influence as well as being shaped by our sexual fantasies. Being able to co-create an analytic relation where such an autoerotic often dissociated mental state could be shared and worded could be crucial for inhibited, retired personalities. This ability to share can be an important tool to explore internal object relations of patients in general and in particular in case of trauma related disorders.

Keywords: Pornography; masturbation; affective neuroscience; comparative sexuality; early relational trauma and dissociation.
