Adolescent sexuality allows an individual to experience themselves and find reas-surance about their own identity. The purpose of this survey is to investigate the knowledge, curiosity and experiences of children on the topic of sexuality. The study was conducted in February 2016 with 185 students aged between 13 and 17 years old and taking place at a high school in Rome, Italy. The questionnaire was titled "Reproductive Health among Adolescents: Knowledge, Attitudes and Behaviors" (Donati et al., 2000), which contained 64 questions with multiple choice answers and articulated in four sections, each covering the aspects of knowledge, attitude and behavior. According to the results obtained in over 70% of the sample, sexual education is considered useful at a young age. The study also shows a widespread knowledge of subjects such as contraception, reproductive physiology and sexual identity, while highlighting a dangerous disinformation about sexually transmitted diseases. In the light of emerging data, it is essential to implement prevention and education projects in schools in order provide useful information to young people’s sexual life and to dispel false beliefs from unreliable sources.
