The Soldier’s Matrix, the Ukraine and the Anti-Soldier’s Matrix. The Soldier’s Ma-trix, which is a development of society’s responses to existential threats or poten-tial glory, is described. The History of Jewish Society in Europe, the Israeli and German societies and the German Anti-Soldier’s Matrix are used as explanations for relational insecurity and, identifications with violent leaders. Potential pro-cesses of transition from conflict into war in a Soldier’s Matrix are discussed to-gether with possibilities of distancing oneself from a war-like matrix.

Keywords: Soldier’s Matrix, large group identity, relational understanding of war and peace, Anti-Soldier’s Matrix, location, Ukraine, Sandwich.
