This article aimed to explore the experience of 39 patients who continued group psychotherapy in the online setting during the period of restrictions due to the pandemic. Through a structured questionnaire, with both open and closed answers, different areas were investigated: the setting, which includes the initial reactions to the need for online movement, perception in showing and being able to see the private spaces of the participants and therapists, and the difficulties relating to the maintenance of privacy; clinical efficacy, connected to the positive and negative aspects of the new modality; the therapeutic relationship, which explores the alliance with therapists and the group, as well as emerging representations; and the therapist’s management style and group dynamics. The results were interpreted considering the previous authors’ articles and the international literature.
