Il movimento afro-americano per i diritti civili ABSTRACT: Nadia Venturini analyzes Afro-American historiography in recent decades in the field of the civil rights movement. Until the early 1980s research placed a strong emphasis on leadership, and the debate was focused on Martin Luther King and the main organizations; over the last two decades new sources and methodologies have shifted the focus to local communities and struggles, with a special emphasis on grassroots activism.
